    ... They came to this decision when they were sitting at the table, looking at the abundance of leftover food they had in front of them and coming to the realisation of how lucky they are not only to be able to afford food, but that they have also been given the opportunity to travel the world. They blew me away. We knew this trip would change them and their view of life, but I didn't know just how quickly.

    ... Hills and the stars driving past in the convertibles [[[i]]](Terrible drivers too)[[[/i]]].  But my favourite place was the Pier and Venice beach! I grabbed some popcorn watched some buskers on the Pier and watched the beautiful sunset. What an amazing day! I am so glad I did it! its amazing how much you can do in just a few hours!  Lesson learnt: Don't sit there and feel sorry for yourself, make the most of every minute, Get Out ...

    After breakfast and packing the car we said a sad farewell to Sandy after a fantastic week in Arizona.

    Drove to Los Angeles which took around five hours and arrived at Linda's house at around 4.30pm. Went next door to her neighbours house for dinner which was really nice!

    ... if only for it’s place in movies etc, and the there are some seriously high-end stores along the short 3 or 4 blocks stretch. A LOT smaller in real life than you’d expect. We do get a nice surprise though; in the park on the other side of Santa Monica Boulevard there is an open arts fair going on and we spend a good hour walking around a mix of artists’ displays; everything ...

    If you have an iPhone that is older, check with your phone carrier to see that it is unlocked. The Chang's will bring one iPhone for use with a United Kingdom SIM card. If we have a couple phones in our group, we can call each other or text and use this as inexpensive communication while in London.
