    ... from the lake. 5.75. We get to the trail that heads down and see on the sign the words "trailhead 3.4". Ahh lovely, 3.4 miles all the way back. At this point we were running out of water and quickly the energy to continue. Luckily this was another beautiful hike and all downhill from here. That downhill came back to bike our feet though, as going downhill really tears up your feet. 3.4 miles later, some very sore toes, and blisters later we had made it back. I have never been so ...

    ... we were glad we had not chosen the 7 day trip that many people take.

    -The weather cooperated for the entire trip except for the brief showers encountered at Machu Picchu and during the one excursion in the Galápagos.

    -Other than the brief scare at the beginning of the trip with Gerry's incidence with a kidney stone health was not an issue on the trip. We drank bottled water and avoided street food, but ate everything else ...

    ... there were lots of tourist having their photos taken outside, but still very cool to see. We also popped into Ye Olde Curiosity Shop - where Severin and Jim were overly curious about the girls really short shorts in there so had to go back in for a second viewing!
