... photo shows another recipient family inside the Habitat For Humanity frame. The families who receive the Habitat homes go through extensive screening, and once selected, are required to attend training sessions in home maintenance and financial planning. The homes are not "free"; rather, are built basically at-cost, with no profit for anyone. All the work is done by volunteers. The owners purchase the home through a no-interest loan.
Our Hill Country weekend began Thursday night at the Baylor / Oklahoma football game at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco. Our Bears broke open a close game late in the first half and ran away with a convincing 41-12 win over the Sooners in front of a sold out crowd and nationally televised audience.
Our fellow travelers for the weekend, Barry and Sylvia from Magnolia, were seeing parts of Texas for the first time. Sylvia was attending her first college football game

Up very early this morning to plan my trip. I wanted to plan to stay off of I-30. I found a route and ask the lady at the desk how to get to the highway from there.
