      ... the other hand, she is excellent at planning our meals and all I have to do is follow her lead.

      The walkie-talkies came back into play today, and I do mean play. You know what they say about boys and their toys. Karen has even gotten caught up in the fun and is getting the lingo down pat. It is funny to hear her say, “ok good buddy” to John.

      We crossed over into Kansas on US 166 to Baxter Springs and then turned north on US 69 to Fort Scott, this was part of the Kansas Historic Route 66 Scenic Byway, which was a beautiful drive over rolling hills through farm and ranch land.       Time is ticking. By this time tomorrow I will be on a plane. 2 hours to Atlanta, a lay-over, and a 10 hour flight to Roma.

      At this point, prayers for safety (that it would be in HIS will), last minute packing, and that my final hours home in Kansas would not be wasted, is what I would appreciate most.
