Flexibility was key. We were both open to changing our plans for the day if something better came up or if the day wasn't working out quite the way we had hoped.

... to reach Marcus because he is very good at finding great places on the internet...but, he may be en route to LA...missed him anyway. Anyway...it didn't look full of promising possibilities. The folks looked very unhappy on the streets. The next place I pulled over looked interesting...but, I didn't see anyplace to eat. I asked a man stopped next to me at the red light in a heating and cooling truck...probably eats ...
