... delicious food, trying and failing to 'play' with the cat (she doesn't know how to play, only how to attack).
I managed to relax and chill out so easily, it felt great to get writing again, and not feel pressured into doing anything I didn't want to. Loved it.
Would so recommend. 5 stars!
- 5:00 p.m. I just arrived at Wal-Mart to fall asleep and get gas at the Shell.
- Driving through Nevada is very boring. There is nothing to look at near the road, only sand.

... to join a long queue! It is automatic so with foot tucked under the seat Rick drove the auto over the Bay Bridge and onto the freeway. The driving is different but not so fast and we made it to Fresno without incident but with the aid of the sat nav! Americans drive sensibly and keep to lanes, use indicators, have regard for pedestrians and are cautious in car parks. We have not seen an accident yet. Road signing is clear and it is difficult to make a mistake ...
... Tonight's effort, the Mount Whitney IPA is a testament to the tallest mountain in the Sierra Nevada and the Sequoia National Park we visited. Floral, malty, citrus they say......heavy, bitter and nasty aftertaste I say. Flowers? Poison Ivy I reckon. Boring label as well. Our journey moves into Mormon country now, with its bizarre liquor laws. Not sure what that means for microbreweries.......soon find ...
... to campsite 4 pm make dinner, eat, relax 8 pm sleep Day 6 8 am wake up & shower 9 am breakfast 10 am put away food 11 am get together with camp friends 12 pm lunch 3:30 pm eat dinner, sit around, relax 5 pm campfire 8 pm clean up 8:30 pm say our goodbyes 9 pm clean up and then sleep Day 7 8 am wake up and shower 9 am start packing 10 am clean up 11 am one last check around, leave for home 2 pm back in ...
