Hotel is very nice, newly renovated, first class room. Unexpectedly, the room has a refrigerator and microwave. Got a really good price on the room, too. The neighborhood is definitely seedy though.

Today was a travel day. We left our room in Regina and drove all the way to Calgary.

Along the way, we stopped for a needed "washroom stop" at a roadside museum in the tiny town of Chaplain, SK. As we pulled into the parking lot, we saw enormous piles of white stuff behind the small museum. Once the immediate needs were taken care of, we …

... two hours to get through and my first foreshadowing of India crowds. Flew Lufthansa, it was one of those double decker planes and was really great! Great attendants, pristine plane really. The Indian man beside me was reading "The Dubliners" probably sounds dim of me to say that, but was delightful all the same. I saw day, then night, then day, then night all within 18 hours. I land in Delhi to my waiting taxi orrrrrr maybe ...

... Australia everything is completed at once. I surmise that the Canadians do this to make you feel like you are moving through a queue, rather than having to sit and wait for a while in the waiting room.

I'd suggest the biggest difference is the lack of computer in the pre-screening room. I feel this does disadvantage the Canadian system as the donors history cannot easily be accessed. This can be useful for a number of reasons: perhaps a donor has had a ...

... that the Daddy would soon be back, with or without the chair, but at the very least to collect his back-pack. After an interminable wait they heard the door open and peeking out saw the Daddy returning with both the chair and his work bag. The Daddy did a last quick check of the room and then headed out the door with his back-pack on his shoulders.

"Yay! We're off" said AJ and DJ together.

The Daddy headed to the elevator, pressed the button to call it ...
