Hotel is very nice, newly renovated, first class room. Unexpectedly, the room has a refrigerator and microwave. Got a really good price on the room, too. The neighborhood is definitely seedy though.

Today was a travel day. We left our room in Regina and drove all the way to Calgary.

Along the way, we stopped for a needed "washroom stop" at a roadside museum in the tiny town of Chaplain, SK. As we pulled into the parking lot, we saw enormous piles of white stuff behind the small museum. Once the immediate needs were taken care of, we …

... because it does have a lot of shops, but I feel there are a few drawbacks. Firstly there isn't a grocery store, secondly most of the shops are higher-end so I find some can be a little expensive, but if you know where to go then it is okay and thirdly, probably my biggest gripe, is that it is always busy. It was only once at 10 pm at night that I found it enjoyable and pleasurable to walk back ...

... br> They had Coke Zero – hurray! I have found it difficult to find Coke Zero in North America, particularly in cafes and restaurants (and no Diet Coke is not the same). It is an interesting point because Coke Zero has really taken off in Australia, I've pondered on a few occasions if this has been to successful marketing in Australia. I know in Oz that it was marketed toward younger men. Diet Coke is tainted as it is seen as a ...

Getting to the Zurich airport 4 hours early is AWESOME!!! We managed to walk around, look at some souvenirs (sure!!! Let’s buy more bells, Avaia has a pen hidden somewhere and I'm sure she ready for some more wall art that I need to keep her away from…), go to the bathroom no less than 7 times (no one needed to go at the same time!!), have a Rösti for lunch (omg….heaven!!!), AND get to our gate ...

I made it to Calgary. My heart fluttered when I drove past the sign for the airport. Lynne lives very close to the airport so you hear the planes overhead. I will be leaving my car here. I am use to living/sleeping in a cool basement so I am sweating big time sitting in her living room but I ...
