      ... means mixing it up with the cattle and a horseback afternoon at South Fork Lodge high in the Bighorn National Forest. A day for laundry and supplies (and some R&R for our sore behinds!) and then east to Deadwood in South Dakota where we'll visit the Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore and more.       ... put of the park are dotted with prairie dog villages. Sam got a lot of pics of the cute little rat impersonators as we went.

      The Rodeway motel in Buffalo was nothing spectacular, but it did have the advantage of being clean and tidy and having wifi for the family addict.

      We had a hobo's dinner before wandering about the town looking for a geocache or two, had a drinky at the "Up in smoke" pub.

      Pretty uneventful day ...

      ... been full of surprises! But we hit the road to Mount Rushmore. On the way up we spotted some very large wood carvings alongside the road. Turns out they were chain saw carvings. The most impressive one was of a very large motorcycle with an eagle on top. We took some photos there and then headed up to Mount Rushmore. The ride up alone was full of awesome views but the actual faces ...

      ... pretty much big and flat, and full of farms & fields.

      We popped into Minneapolis, our first big city since NY, and soon realised the hassle that comes with it. Security guards on the Walmart was not a good sign, so we opted for another further out of town, after of course seeing the impressive Mississippi River at st Anthony falls. We left promptly the next day, missing the 'mall of America' the biggest shopping mall ever. Who wants to see ...
