... along the queue for an hour, we could see other passengers onboard sitting on their balconies watching the rest of us poor saps. At least we had some nice folks to talk to and everybody was certainly in a good mood.

... Going to the Gulf of Mexico, down Matagorda way. Weather is not so great, light occasional rain with the promise of thunder showers over the next few days. We're biding our time so we can hit the beach on Padre Island later on. We may encounter a few college kids along the way as it's spring break time. We have arrived at our friends ranch in Sargent Texas. It is located about 80 miles southeast of Houston on the Gulf of Mexico.
