... These two little boys saw us and asked to play (clearly, they just couldn't resist the greatness of this frisbee). Naturally, they made it even more fun. Now, we are back at the hostel, ready to fall asleep. I can't believe it is only day 3 of this trip. Chicago has been a great first stop but I'm ready to get back in the car and start the drive to stops #2 and #3: Madison, Wisconsin and then Minneapolis, ...

... But we finally made it to Navy Pier. Navy Pier was again under construction like it was back in 2010. I don't believe we ever get to see this place at its best. We ate dinner at Margaritaville which was cheaper than our lunch. Go figure! We walked to the end of the pier and back. It was a beautiful night to just walk and take in the fresh air. ... 74 years. I want to look and be as active as they are when I am her age.

Took a walk down to the lake yesterday afternoon. lots of boats at the marina. Found out that what we thought and is called the river is actually a canal built in 1898 to reverse the flow of the river so that the water flows from lake Michigan into the Mississippi reservoir and not the river into the lake. This was to stop the pollution from the river harming the lake. An engineering feat that has paid ...

    ... down the tyres!

The sun slowly baked our fair skin, as there was no shade, but luckily I had a small brolly, so used it once I'd moved to the side of the boat.

The tour took an hour, back to the dock, where we then took a walk up to Millenium park.

There were hordes of people around, as it was family day there. Such fun watching the antics of the kids ...
