A travel blog entry by yankolimon on May 11, 2015

... I pray I stay healthy throughout this whole time a hike this trail. I feel overall that my legs are finally broken in. I don't feel tired after hiking 20-23 miles each day. After leaving Wrightwood, the trail eventually summited Mt. Baden-Powell (9399ft). The views from that summit where quite stunning despite the smog in the valley. During this drive, we were gaining altitude and ...

The section of road just disappeared into a pile of rubble where there used to be a Bridge over one of the seasonal washes. I continued back towards the point revere the interstate and the railroad cross the Colorado River and viewed the original bridge which has had its decking removed and now carries ...

We'll be meeting Nick Baker for lunch today in Irvine, CA. As you all know we have seen a bunch of mountains lately but not many people. Well as we headed for Irvine we rejoined civilization and then some! There were many lanes of traffic and cars everywhere, welcome to the big city!

Another big change was that we were going downhill today into a valley, it seems we've only been going uphill before that. One day we were actually 8000 feet in elevation, today we ...
