Yes, it really is a trip when you ride in the rain. Not once but 3 separate showers over the 6 hours. But it really only poured for the last 20 miles, so not so bad.
Left around 8am with 58Fand cloudy skies. Did not wear my heated jacket (the FirstGear Monarch jacket and liner is warm and quite waterproof), but had my Frogg Togg pants on. …
The main feature today was a visit to the Martin Guitar Factory in Nazareth, a short trip from Bethlehem. Martin make my favourite guitars and we joined a tour of the manufacturing facility. All guitars are hand made, with the help of a couple of robot lasers. I got the chance to strum a D28, the Eagles favourite and it is definitely on my shopping list (one ...
The big day of spending lots of money at horseman's had come! It had been a month in planning! After a few hours of pushing a cart, I managed to spend $420 on horse gear which I then needed to think of a way it could go home! Thanks to Michelle though, she will take it home with her on the ...
This will be the last blog on our trip. We visited Goblin Valley on Saturday then got a room for the night. Rich has been sick so we made the decision to come home. We left Utah at 9 am Sunday morning and headed home. We stopped on Monday morning and slept for four hours and hit the road again. We drove straight through reaching home around 10 am yesterday morning. It ...

Arriving in a heavy rain, I was welcomed by being allowed to keep my motorcycle under the vast awning for the night (and a towel to dry it off too). A very friendly reception desk and weekend barkeep added to the enjoyment of the facility.
They have a small but very functional fitness center (weights & treadmil, bike and elliptical) as well as an indoor pool. There is a tv to let you forget your breathlessness too.
The restaurant/bar is not busy on Sundays but the food was good and a lively conversation with the barkeep made a nice close to the meal.
I'd definitely return here again. The room was comfortable and quiet.
