... Paschi di Siena, the oldest surviving bank in the world and Italy's third largest bank. Founded in 1472 by the magistrate of the city state of Siena, and it has been operating ever since. In the late afternoon, we had the chance to see Montepulciano - the highest elevation in Tuscany. Another fabulous medieval town, with fantastic views, wine/wine cellars deep into the foundation of the city, and many windy/tight streets! We made our way back to Florence and had ...

... sitting there and the best pizza so far in Italy. We think it was overpriced because it is a tourist target market. However, when I went to the toilet I discovered that if we had gone inside we could have eaten on the balcony looking over an absolutely magnificent view of the valley. Today, We also found Stiffany's B&B (yes that is how it was spelt) and Emporio Rinaldi today.

Then we walked up the hill for ...

... fast asleep. Highlight of day: celebrating Soyoung's decision to travel with us! She said yes!! Day 6: Florence Feeling under the weather the next day, we decided to check out and settle into a more quiet and peaceful hostel outside of the city. We packed our bags and took the bus that led us to the gate. We had to walk up a long and eery driveway to get to this beautifully restored mansion. It apparently is the best hostel in the city, and it should be for $30.00 a night! It was ...

... though I am not the first to appreciate a work of art, I was rather impressed. On our way back we wandered through the mot glamorous street ever!! Every high end label - Gucci, Prada, Vera wang, Burberry, Tiffanys - you name it, it was there! It was the most amazing place to people-watch, although I did feel slightly underdressed in my jandals. In the same area I discovered the Lindt store! I have never seen so much chocolate in my life - and so many different flavours! I wanted ...
