... there and of course stopping for me an aperol aperitif and Neil a beer.

Saw Margaret and Neil up there.

Came back down had a break at the hotel and then off to find somewhere for dinner. Weren't very successful. Neil saw a place selling gluten free pizzas and as he had not been able to have one before we decided on that. Was okay but can't say I'm a fan of pizza would prefer pasta.

Finish of the day and so to bed.

Up early. Beat the crowds.

Still having trouble with the synching problem with photos so none to upload. After we get ...

The balcony is tiny, big enough for 3, but……WHAT A VIEW! The river is flowing fast ...

... a hot and humid day and Florence is packed with tourists. Our appointment at the Galleria dell Accademia, a working school of art and home to the famous David sculpture by Michelangelo, is at 5:30pm and Nina is our guide, shadowed by Carlotta, a registered local guide. It is amazing to see the huge David, started years earlier by a different sculptor but abandoned when he died and left in archives as no-one knew what to do with this 70 foot piece of marble ... until ...

... evening and had some supper and some wi-fi! ( Our hostel's wi-fi was "down" for a couple of days so we had to go into town to get internet access at cafes. Highlight of the day: walking by a orange and lemon farm and the nice Italian men throwing us down some organs and lemons picked right from the tree. Day 4: Sorrento It was a gloomy, rainy day and we decided to spend it doing some research. We had to figure out our route after this place and we also had to talk to a travel agent ...
