Our two day stop in Bettendorf has been a wonderful reprieve from driving and so fun to spend time with Nicky,Allan and Liam. They have been wonderful and gracious hosts. I am running off with Nics now famous butter chicken recipe!

Tonight we are staying at a Pilot Travel Centre, which means basically that we pull into a parking lot along with many big trucks and some other RVs and have available to us 24 hr washrooms etc. They even offer showers for $5 a piece. Intriguing for a budget minded Dutch girl like me!
