... are on a massive scale and we had assumed that this was all for rice. However, going past what appeared to be several large paddies, Ben saw a man on a boat throwing out handfuls of food. Sure enough, the 'paddy' was teeming with fish, so much so that it looked like the water itself was alive. We eventually made it to Lang Co and checked into a guesthouse. The couple in charge seemed very laid back about the whole arrangement. We dropped off our things and ...

We brought a six pack of "333" beer on board, and Bryden and Kim (our roomies) had a bottle of Johnnie Walker and others had vodka. I think there may be some hungover members of our group this morning! The last thing I wanted was to feel ****** on the train (plus I didn't want to be clambering down from the top bunk to the not-very-happy-loo at the end of the car in the middle of the night) ...

... also know for the Am Phu caves which have both heaven and hell caves in them. You enter the cave via a bridge over a pool with fake hands reaching out of the water. Then to the right was the stairway to heaven. A steep and narrow stairway with glowing statues and carving into the wall all the way up. It leads to a landing with another fantastic view of the land and the surrounding marble mountains. As you head back down to the middle ground, the next step is to head ...
