... stairs to the cave mouth and then climbed up through the cave to the top of the mountain. It was hot, slippery (on the marble polished by years of fellow travellers) and very steep. Both Flynn and I were a lather of sweat when we climbed out to the top. He was very determined, though, and seemed quite proud to have made it up. All good, except it sounded more like Hairy Bottom, so Harry now has a new name. Poor Harry needed a morning beer after that!

We cycled through beautiful paddy fields, traditional villages where the ...

... to make several different levels to climb up to and bathe in. Either side were wooden platforms with dry palm roofs where local groups set up for the day. We then got dropped off at a fish restaurant which looked very appealing sat on stilts in a lake. Unfortunately the prices were beyond our budget so we asked our driver to take us to a cheap local restaurant instead of where rich fisherman go. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious Bun dishes happy in the knowledge that we had just ...
