... mix, one with a chicken broth, and one with plain hot water, if you wish. We tried fish skin this time, which was ok. The three sauces we had were sesame paste, oil and garlic, and peanuts with chilli. Strawberries, and marshmellows that you held under a chocolate fountain were my favourites! It was fascinating watching the men roll out the noodle dough - the biggest rolling pins I have ever seen. At least 1 1/2 metres long.

A Saturday where nothing is planned.
... a pastry that is covered in white chocolate were on the menu, along with about 20 other things. The beiju bottles were beautiful - white vases with blue handpainted flowers on them. I asked what would happen to the bottles at the end of the evening, and was told they would be thrown out. So now I have two beautiful blue and white vases.
So much for having a quiet day at home. These parent interviews, I can do! Much better than how we do it in NZ.

The Week
It has been a busy week, as the Grade 2 student's application forms to USA universities need to be finished. Some students are applying for five unis, so there are many forms, and they also need to write about themselves. It sounds simple, but with their limited English, it isn't. Hopefully we will have everything sorted early next week.

The cold
... of buying another one. Little did we know, that green hats in China are not a good idea. (Both my summer and winter hats are green, and Dave's summer hat is green.) If you wear a green hat, it means that your spouse has been unfaithful to you - more so in the case of a man wearing a green hat, but also if a woman wears one. And so I get many s******s from people. I think I'll get a pink one.
