Das Salzamt - Palais Hotel Landhaushof Klagenfurt

Liebe Menschen,
es ist 5.45 in der Früh und ich bin bereits geduscht, angezogen und "auf dem Sprung". Das heißt... Es geht jetzt bald los...
Fahre jetzt nach Wien, am Abend nach München, und von da geht morgen früh unser Flieger. Erste Station in Südamerika ist dann San Jose, von wo ich mich hoffentlich übermorgen Abend wieder melde.

... It's pretty picture perfect.

Vintgar Gorge is about 4km away from Bled in a National Park. Over 100 years ago, two locals built a 2km boardwalk around and across the gorge. It’s a beautiful, peaceful walk that was a nice antidote to all of the cities we’ve been visiting. Bled and Vintgar show off the real Slovenia – outdoorsy, rustic and beautiful.

Es ist wieder mal soweit.
Das Fernweh hat Überhand genommen
und zieht uns in einer Woche für einen Kurztrip nach Vietnam.

Genauer gesagt nach Nord-Vietnam, um ein bisschen mehr über die asiatische Kultur zu lernen,
vor allem übers Essen.

... over to this union bar that had the internet and this nerd was hogging the internet I tried to have a beer but felt really sick so we had to go trecking around the bars in the ghost town to see if we could find anywhere that had the internet luckily we found somewhere and we are now going to Austria tomorrow to stay in Salzburg. Nothing open around the town its so dead when you go somewhere out of season that we went for a chinese again ha ha ah.

... and bathroom and cooking stuff so we popped out to get some food for breakfast and stuff and then went for a chinese. I must admit after weeks and weeks of eating med food it was nice to have something a little different chicken fried rice has never tasted so good lol. After the meal we popped for a walk to the lake but it was really dark and we couldnt see much so we are waiting till tomorrow to have a good look around.

... one piece of paper towel as I know some places are a bit funny about how much you use. Witek didn’t think of this though and he was in a bit more mess than me so he took a good helping of towels. When he went back for a second lot, this guy literally dove on the towel dispenser shouting ‘no!’ Witek’s startled face was priceless!

Anyway, we finally head off on this walk through the gorge. It reminded me a lot of the rainforest in North Queensland, the ...

... it would be too expensive to drive there and we were not sure about the safety driving through some of the countries. We were a bit disappointed as it was somewhere that we really wanted to go, but after talking with the couples we were pretty happy with our decision. Turkey is somewhere that we can go another time and spend a bit more time there-it would have cost us a lot in petrol and time.

... do very much I relaxed the most time and did a bit sport and so on. Its perfect for this, because the Hotel is only 200m away from the Wörthersee and the Beach. So I spend my days with swimming and a boat trip, one day I only made a nice little bike tour along the lake and on the afternoon I sit in the nice little garden of the Hotel an read a book, it was really relaxing. No problems, all time of this world and so friendly and ...

... around us we managed to reach the island. We were so wet when we got there we thought we may aswell go for a swim. Swimming in a thunderstorm is an extermelyt ionteresting experince for sure... When we got back to dry land and the storm had passed on the sun came out again and we still had alot of time to kill and lots of petrol in the tank. By a process of pointing to a random place on our map we decided to try and drive up a mountain :P ...

... things. It also meant that a saw very few people, and wasn't shamed into staying on the prescribed wooden path - so often the views were so good, I needed to get a bit closer to the river than was strictly allowed to properly appreciate them. I wish the walk could have lasted longer, as the 1.6km really wasn't enough to do jutice to the place. Simply beautiful. And even better, for once I could actually take some pictures worthy of a postcard. I'll get them up asap.
