Well after a couple of great nights in London the highlight of which was stumbling upon an old English pub "the Duke of Kendal" with delicious mulled wine and a fantastic woman playing on the piano. We were woken at 0330 well if you can call it worked when you don't really sleep ... Gurgling tummy hot flushes ( well not me ) checking the clock at 0100 0200 and then time to get up. Dressed ...

... and kept his explanations simple and fun for the kids (and those of us who get easily bored). We passed through the English Gardens where there is a part of the Park for naturalists to 'hang out'. The sun was shining so we were in for a treat................. loads of old, leathery looking men, standing, sitting and lying around stark bollock naked, not one single young fit person among them. It was bit of a giggle and an eye opener for the kids. ...

As we strolled further into the park we came across a beer garden. As the saying goes, when in Rome (or Munich)… we got two of the head-sized pretzels and a 1L stein of beer. That’s right - one litre. It hurt my arm just lifting it to my lips! So good! Needless to say, the subsequent hour of walking was a little slow and zig-zagging.
