... for another fifteen minutes, Liam and I decided to "plead the fifth" if we were caught. Surely we couldn't have been the first to make that mistake. We arrived at Dachau station and had to take another bus out to the concentration camp, which was packed full of Americans. ... arms and "dead" wax bodies and mechanical life-sized clowns that CAME TO LIFE and laughed maniacally as you walked by them and a life-sized decapitated head that, when you tripped a sensor, began screaming at you in German and SPITTING BLOOD.

This is going to haunt my dreams for years.

Now, note that all of this is belied by the cheery puppet entrance, and the lack of warning for children, anyone prone to clown phobias, or FEAR OF SEVERED ...

OKTOBERFEST

... tables drinking their whole Mass to the cheers and applause of the crowd if they finished it and the boos if they didn’t. Some people had pretzels thrown at them if they didn’t finish. We walked around the centre with our senses in overload, looking for a table to sit down at as you don’t get service unless your seated and they were all very much full, when all of a sudden we see a face we recognize and she spots us and her arms fly in the air with excitement. The couple ...
