    Quaint town overlooked by Germania

    ... like a ski lift) up the hill to the Germania monument, built in 1871 for the reunification of Germany then walked the 5kms down the hill. Had a drink, then went shopping & back to the boat for lunch.

    The next part of he Rhine is known for its castles, they were amazing, the cloud then started to move in so went inside for coffee & cake, like we needed more food.

    Got a haircut, really impressed & only €18.

    Hopped on another train and hit Wiesbaden. Matt had told me how much he enjoyed this area so I decided to pay a visit and find a place to stay. Found a perfectly priced hostel with free breakfast/coffee! Thank god!

    ... the Foundation of the German empire after the end of the Franco-Prussian war. Here we had great views of the city. I managed to snap a picture of the Schiff Goelhe sailing ship. My Opa (who has lived in Adelaide) built a model of this ship. It was given to him as a present from Erika and Manfred.
