... Bar and sounded loads of fun. We flagged down a yellow cab and jumped inside. Not only did the driver stink to high heaven, he didn't speak English and vitally, did not know his way around New York. Speaking of breathing, I attended a two-hour session of Classic Yoga and Meditation this evening at The Yoga Room. The instructor, Maureen, was lovely-- she created this congenial, relaxed environment that came as a culture shock... she and students in the class were even asking me about my cross-country trip. It's funny to be away from DC and realize that yoga doesn't have to be a competition ;)

... Growing up as a kid of a Vietnam Veteran could be pretty lonely at times. We have our own special understanding of what it means to have a Vietnam Veteran parent, including the ups and the downs, the sadness and the good times. We have finally found camaraderie, we know we are no longer alone.
