Fes viewpoint
... like having a bit of a smoke all afternoon so I did quite happily. And oh my god, I obviously had no idea how strong it was because for the following 3 hours I was stoned like I have been for a while!!!
I had to go to Place Batha to meet up with Youssef and get my gear and it was an experience in the state I was!! Anyway, I got my stuff, said bye to Youssef, who has been brilliant with me and went back to the hostel to chill before going to the station.

Camel for dinner?
... full of really interesting items, including wooden covered carriages for children and adults, but the building was definitely worth seeing in its own rights. What was very different was the Souq au Nejjarine, with its garish wedding thrones in glitzy colours. Historically, they were very ornate affairs with some style and panache, but would now be very fitting in My Gipsy Wedding features!

Sweating it up in Fes
... was inside in the air conditioning and b) they had some great cheap stuff like saffron and other spices..... here's hoping they make it through customs....
My least favourite part of the day was the tannery - for it's horrible smell! The tannery itself was interesting but the stench of the leather was enough to make you gag.

Atlast we made it to the Atlas!
... and about 20 minutes later we were at the top of the hill. It wasn't exactly what we had in mind when we said we wanted to hike but the view was still nice. We could see snow capped mountains and a small area that they use for skiing. After spending some time there we decided to walk back down and see what else there was to see.
