... watched the locals play ultimate frisbee and a few kids get write-ups from the police for public drinking. A thing that really stood out for me: was the fact that the same group playing ultimate frisbee, stopped after a while once another friend joined, and starting playing with the toys he brought. Yeap! In his bag, that he handed out to everyone. Was a bag full of Cup-n-balls. They all started trying to get the ball to land on the cup and started doing weird ...
... signs when I initally walked in... I looked around and everyone had gone... no sign of the homeless crew that had been all scattered around the parklands or anything. Looks like they know when and where to go on nights! I need to learn
So anyway... to wrap up this long written segment... I looked for another location to sleep, and found a carpark with a tree that provided quite a bit of cover... I soon very asleep. At about 6 am I was hastily awoken by a Racoon!!!! ...
We were up early and ready for the bitter rivalry between the Seattle Sounder and Portland Scum (aka Timbers). No better way to start a busy day in Portland than a trip to Voodoo Doughnut plus we needed energy to root for the Sounders and keep our strength in the Timber stadium as visitors.
