With all this activity it didn't give us long at the hotel, a motel 168, which was a bit of a blessing as on closer inspection it was probably the most disgusting place we've stayed in the bathroom was filthy and towels smelt of smoke and there were numerous blood smears on the walls from people squashing mosquitos. How gross is that.

Sadly there's a new lineup of buses and cars within frustrating sight of the new highway as it exits the mountain tunnel. The bridge on the old road has been piled high with construction debris to prevent vehicles from crossing. Several drivers are scrapping at it with their hands and throwing boulders under tires trying vainly to get their vehicles over the mounds of debris.

... i wanted rice noodles i had to have seaweed noodles to but we thought what the hell we will give it a try!! Andrew pointed at what he thought were plain noodles but then they came out they looked like long strings of scrambled egg!! not sure what they were. everything was served in tons of chilly so it was hot in flavour but the actual noodles were cold again, very strange experience but both bowls of food were very good!!
