... So after a very pleasant few days - time has just melted away - we need to pack and move on. The only disappointment we've had is that we felt very let down at the local restaurant. If we stop for a few days, we try and have at least one "local" meal. Others along the way have been so good with local fare at a reasonable price. ... so in the weekday it was empty and indeed we only saw a couple of players.

Apart from lazing on the beach, eating fish and visiting the local mountain villages I can't say we have done much. ... Annie clearly did not get on with Bulgaria but I had much less of an issue with the country...C

Once into Greece the driving was much easier and you could set the cruise control without fear of pot holes. We arrived in Neos Marmaras in the early evening and settled into our self catering room with a large balcony over looking the sea.

Now sitting on the balcony, drinking Turkish Raki, over looking the sea, 25C.... cheers.

... super smart Greek people company:) The same day we hitchiked towards Bulgaria but after we reached Thessaloniki and took a bus out to the outskirts of it, it became dark and we couldnt find any promised gas station there. So we just took 3 hour bus ride there and back! Happily my wonderful friend Despina found us a place to stay in Thessaloniki! We couldnt have been more thankful!
Next morning we took a bus to Sofia!
