    ... setting up camp we headed into Ribe to check it out. Ribe is a very old town dating back to the 1500's. Many of the old houses are more than 150 to 200 years old and are very quaint and picturesque. A feature of these old houses are the small windows and low roves which will help in keeping the houses warm during winter.

    ... a coffee and a Belgian waffle smeared with vanilla ice cream. Oh my goodness! It was absolutely divine (and entirely fat free!!) We wandered back via Netto as the other supermarkets were shut. We suddenly remembered it's bank holiday so that might explain the empty town too.     After the excitement of the beach, we headed to Ribe (seemingly there are 8 ways to pronounce it - all are right and all are wrong - according to a Dane).

    ... We spent a great 3 hours here watching the the kite and wind surfers as well as flying our own kite for an hour. The sun was shining but the wind was quite strong; it gave us a good upper body work out!
