We left the campground at 8:45 am. It was sunny and 65 degrees. The cooler weather is a nice change from the 100+ temperatures we have had for a lot of this trip.

We have become acclimated to Pacific Time which is 3 hours earlier than home, so now that we are heading East, we will have to adjust our sleep schedules.

The ride through Nevada was long flat stretches of highway with an occasional climb to a mountain summit, ...

Stopped in SLC and spent the day with Jeff and Keri. It was great to see them again. We just need to see each other more often. Had a fabulous dinner cooked and prepared by Jeff and Kari. It by far was the best campground we found. The company was tops and the food was over the top. Kari even made a coffee cake for morning breakfast. It was the best. Spoke with Holly about her first year as a Junior high science teacher. Brought back many memories of teaching. I ...

... was going and he advised me it was a dead end. Oops. 'So where can I go?' He told me the only choice for me right now was to get back onto 189 and just take it northeast again to Heber. Oh well.
So rode downhill the few miles back to that parking lot and hooked up again with 189. This part of 189 quickly changed from what I had seen in the Provo area. A lot of the land now seemed to resemble the famous "moonscapes" that Utah is known for, although probably not as much as Moab ...
