Port Jefferson is named after our third president. It's a deep water port that has ferry service to Connecticut. While there, we found a winery shop offering tastings from the Pindara and Duck Walk wineries and a small brewery, Port Jeff Brewery, doing the same. Of course, we're bringing some back with us. Yeehaw! It is a quaint little port town with interesting shops and restaurants. We finished our visit with some coffee, tea and pastries at La Bonne Boulangerie. ...
... and started packing up to leave. It's been a wonderful two weeks, but we're excited about tomorrow and another day of being treated like royalty in first class. We're also all looking forward to sleeping in our own beds again. Rob and I are used to a king, and we've been sleeping on a double, and Justin can't wait to connect with his friends on XBox live. ... I had measured my van before I left and it was about 9 feet tall at its highest point. The bridges were beautiful stone workings. Signs said, no large trucks. Could I be in the same category of large trucks? The bridges were marked. The first few I had plenty of space. 11 ft 4 inches, 12 ft 1 inch. Then there were a few that were 10 feet and then one that was 9 ft 2 inches. I about ******* myself when I went through that one. I held my breath and slowed down....I made it! No problem. ...

... there when we needed him. While he hailed a taxi, Carolyn ran into a bakery to purchase a few pastries for us to eat while we waited at the airport. She just couldn't resist. Our favorite was a pastry topped with sliced apples and cinnamon. As we sat in the Admirals Club waiting for our plane to board we devoured our French pastries, for one last taste of Paris.
