Ole Winchester

... the infamous round table with all the knights names and apparently a pic of King Henry?? I need to check that one and update this entry.

Pete made it without an issue and it was a lovely day for driving as well. I looked around the shops and had lunch in the Cathedral shop and of course took some pictures and read about some of the history or Wincester!

Tickets booked!

Booked flight today - Guatemala on Feb 22nd 2010. So to mark the occasion I thought I'd start my travel diary today as well.

Two months to go - and a lot of list-making, planning, shopping, getting vaccinated, freaking out, and bouncing with excitement to do!

Weeks 10-11: Belgium Outside the Hospital, England

... the carpark to find that it had poured with rain all evening and all those parked on the grass we completely bogged in! Watching about 10 people, all in suits and dresses, all trying to unbog their cars at once, as it begins to rain again, is a pretty amusing way to end an evening, especially when your own car is parked on tarmac!

Wednesday, November 11th, was a public holiday in Belgium, for Armistice Day. I took advantage of the day by meeting up with Lucy de Vreeze, from ...

This will be my third trip to Australia, and this time I've decided to take my time and soak up the atmosphere and scenary. I'm going to sit on beaches, wile away afternoons in beachside bars, stroll through forests and explore quiet hillside and seaside towns. And most of it's going to be in a ...

Reminds me a lot of Southampton.. with a Pier! lol

Bournemouth has a very funny layout.. the two main streets of the town go up both sides of the hills that lead down to the park and eventually to the famous Pier.

I was a bit down in the dumps this day.. I think because I was watching all the families and couples having some fun. It was mid term break so there were heaps of kids around and the entrance to the Pier was packed with amusements and ...

Lovely wet ole town!

Visited this town while I was visiting my Uncle in Portsmouth. Its a lovely little place, well not little but seems about the size of Newcastle. Not that I have seen its outskirts etc.

When I arrived I went to have a look at the old wall and the old castles etc set up by Henry the VI I think. But it started to pour down so I went ...

Day 1: Isle of Wight

Our first full day in the Isle of Wight. The day looked like any normal British day - moody and murky. We hoped it will pick up later during the day and decided to go to the opposite end of the island, to Tortland and therein, visit the Needles and the Alum Bay. Alum Bay had recieved a big thumbs up from my colleagues as a fun place for my little one and we were quite eager. Sundeep decided to take the scenic coast route and ...
