... The lady replaced it with another card and put in 100 kr in there! Yay!  Then I collected the cans and plastic bottles from last night (about 40 of them..!), and took them to Hemköp, the nearby grocery store. On each can and plastic bottle in Sweden, there is a little 1 kr or 2 kr mark. This is the amount you get back when you recycle them at a grocery store that takes them. Note to self: Do not fly on Friday 13th. You will be delayed, you will get rained on and you will get lost trying to find the hostel!

... Saturday. Saturday was a bit special, we decided that it was important for Brad to experience Midsummer, which the Nordic countries celebrate around June 20. The Steiners neighbours probably think they have gone slightly mad for celebrating a month early, but it was well worth it. We've been suffering with terrible head colds for the last week...scratchy coughs and sneezing, congested sinuses...miserable moments. But still we're trying to carry on. We've accomplished most of our goals. There's only one item we're waiting for and hopefully the postman will deliver it in the next two days because we've decided to give our winter experience a bit of a break. We've booked tickets to Spain for next week.
