We blijven op het eilandje Dhiaporos twee dagen voor anker liggen en genieten volop van de baai en zijn omgeving met alle subbaaitjes die  te zien zijn als we de heuvels beklimmen die de baai  afschermt.  Woensdag gaan we naar het dichtst bij zijnde haventje  om de voetbalwedstrijd Nederland tegen Duitsland te bekijken. ... hij toch niet zo veel poten om op te staan, je kunt wel een ideaal beeld in je hoofd hebben, eens was Limnos de graanschuur voor de stad Athene, maar tegenwoordig is de handel mogelijk wat gecompliceerder. Mirina is een prachtige stad , die ook net als de andere plaatsen aan zee, getooid is met een groot fort op een vrij hoge rots. De stad is booming, vol met allerlei winkels , de pleinen en de terrassen vol. De haven blijk redelijk goed beschut te zijn ...

... rich history. It was one of our most interesting in terms of travel and navigating, we learned you have to ask at least 4 Greeks for directions and then find a tourist to get the correct directions. Everything is in Greek and is impossible to understand, they don't believe in maps except for hand drawn ones and they talk incredibly fast....now I know where the saying"it's all Greek to me" comes from. I used it often!

Saturday May 28th …today we are traveling from Skiathos to Thessaloniki….the ferry to Volos left Skiathos at 2:15 pm, so we had to catch a ride from the hotel down to the bus stop , then caught a bus to the port to catch the ferry. The ferry ride took 2.5 hours and was really nice…once we got to Volas we had to find the bus station, we asked about 5 different people and got 5 different directions.
