Neuzen in de drie vingers van Noord Griekenland
... maar we hebben geen keus. Dit stuk van Griekenland is onherbergzaam de kust in ieder geval. Nu is het een kwestie van nog 5 uur alert blijven en dat lukt, om 20.30 uur varen we de Straat van Skiathos uit en draaien we de zuidelijke baai onder het eiland in. Er liggen zo’n 12 boten voor anker , iets anders dan we gewend zijn hiervoor waren we al blij als er een zeilschip in de haven of baai lag, we zijn duidelijk terug in het meer toegankelijke Griekenland! ...

... eiland en door de bergen. Het wordt een prachtige reis, waarbij de bus alle dorpjes aandoet die op zijn pad te vinden zijn. Dat moet ook wel, want slechts om 7 en 9 uur vertrekt er een bus die om 12, 13 en 14 uur terug rijdt, en daarom is het niet verwonderlijk dat de bus stampvol is. Tijdens de rit zien we hoeveel valleien er zijn en die zijn bijna allemaal agrarisch bebouwd. Toch wel een unicum voor Griekenland en terugdenkend aan onze Canadese ...

... of buses! The resort is beautiful but not very Greek looking, very modern. I can see a town not far off so we will walk there today. The area is really cool, mountainous and full of hotels and beaches. This country is a country of beaches. This is like a huge Catskill area for Greece. If you look at a map of Greece we are in the Macedonia region where there are 3 peninsulas, we are on the middle one to the southern tip of it.
