My quick transit in Minneapolis was as blurry as how jet blast escapes an aircraft engine. In my desperate need to just want to sit back down again, I sped off to what seemed the other side of earth to attempt my next standby battlefield to Chicago.
In my dazed state, I knew the protocol to …
Coming all the way from Stavanger, THE windy city in Norway, our expectations were quite high. We got slightly dissappointed though, the wind wasn't much to brag about! The city Chicago on the other hand, was great! We had no idea what to expect, and found everything to be a pleasant surprise. Acting like crazy tourists once again, we climbed all …
We decided to use today to get organised for our roadtrip around the Southwest states. We walked down to the main shopping strip, N Michigan Avenue, and found a Borders bookshop. We bought a guide and a map and sat in a coffeeshop looking over possible routes. We also visited the local AAA (American Automobile Association) branch. If you are an AA …

The hotel was fantastic. In a great location and room although compact, cleverly designed to create space. Staff were friendly on check in and check out, and the hotel doorman was especially attentive when giving me directions to the nearest coffee shops to help cure my jetlag.
Rooftop bar was great, generally a little quiet during the week, but the roof blew off over the weekend, with an awesome atmosphere both inside and out, great music and excellent cocktails!
