Taking one day at a time....
I am still trying to take in today. Amazing highs mixed with incredible lows.
This morning started out promising, as we said our goodbyes to Tiberias and Galilee and headed towards Jerusalem. Our first stop....the Jordan River. Although not on the itinerary, our guide had surprised us by asking us if we wanted to be baptized on the Jordan …
What an Interesting, Crazy and Glorious Day
Well, the day started out like most of our trip, except Laura went to the Israeli Museum because she had seen all the sites we were visiting today when she was here a year ago...we met our guide, Uri at the hotel entrance after another good breakfast. First we drove through the Old City (didn't know they allowed cars there, but they do) entering …
Farewell Jerusalem! We will miss you!
Hi friends and family!
Day Five in Jerusalem and our last full day here. The mood is shifting some within our group. There are 16 of us all together. Half will go home tomorrow and the other half will head on to Cairo. The group that is going home are definitely looking forward to being back in Oklahoma. As part of the Egypt crew, we are …

Day Four from Jerusalem. There is just that much to see in this city! We could spend a couple of weeks here and not get our brains and Hearst around it all.
Thanks to those who are posting. Ellen - I thought of you a lot today when we were down in the Via Dolorosa. Liz - thank you for your great comments. Thrilling to think you spent :45 …

Historical Traveler Reviews Dan Panorama Jerusalem
My Stay was great
The Dan Panorama, Jerusalem was a great experience for me and my family. It was our first trip to Israel during Passover and the Dan made it most memorable.
We had a private Seder and the staff went all out. A special menu was prepared and the room was decorated beautifully. Every year it is tradition to say "next year in Jerusalem", and the staff at the Dan Panorama made this possible. It felt like home and we didn't want to leave.
Our rooms were newly renovated and the location of the hotel is prime to old and new Jerusalem, both near and in walking distance.
We will definitely stay there again, when we return to Jerusalem.
Great location, very solid hotel
The Dan Pan was great. 10 minute walk from Jaffa Gate (go through the park just a block behind the hotel - - very safe and a pleasant break from traffic), typical over-extended Israeli hotel breakfast, clean rooms with modern furnishings, helpful staff. I think we paid ~$150/night incl breakfast which I thought was decent value. As we are walkers we are very happy we DID NOT stay out near the fancier Dan Hotel and others in the hotel park on the outskirts of town. Being in the city centre made our experience in Jerusalem that much more legit. Will stay here again if we return.
Great deal on a decent price hotel
Just came back froma 7 day stay in Dan Panoramo, for the price we paid around $110 a night and for the service provided this was a great deal!
the service was decent and clealiness was great! They put in a small box of chocklate every other day and housekeeping was available an entire day which is great!!! only compliant that i had was that breakfast although there was plenty of food they only offered small plates and glasses making you uncomfortable to keep on getting up! (buffet style) and that they limited types of drinks so that they can charge you, for instances on shabbat meal they offer no drinks forcing you to "buy soda". but overall a great hotel and highly reccomended!
Dan Panorama Jerusalem is Fantastic in Every Way
I have just returned from a few days at the Dan Panorama, Jerusalem. The hotel is beautiful and the service and friendliness of the staff was wonderful. The hotel was immaculate, the room was spacious and the food was very good. I also always felt very safe and secure at the hotel and walking around it as well.
The hotel is very central to the Old City of Jerusalem and the shoppping pedestrian mall, Ben Yehuda St. You can also walk to the Ein Kerem neighborhood and have a lovely dinner at the many restaurants there as well.
I stayed on the 9th floor of the hotel where the business lounge is situated. The staff was very nice and helpful. There was a TV there, well-stocked bar, as well as internet access (from 7 am-10pm) and many different food presentations are laid out each day. Breakfast was a lovely Israeli meal with cheeses, fruit pastries etc. During the afternoon/evening they present lovely salads and sumptous desserts!
Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Jerusalem- and I am extremely fussy!
Beautiful experience!
This hotel is about 20 minutes walking distance from the Jaffa gate(5 min by taxi). It is also right next to the King David Hotel and the YMCA and is close to the city center in case you want to get some water or take a walk. I felt quite comfortable going for walks at 8:30pm. It is centrally located with great fabulous breakfast buffets and buffet dinner(very good quality foods) included in our package, friendly staff, rooms are big and nice. Bathrooms are spacious and towels are aplenty. Really friendly staff. Oh, they have 220V and 110V for you to charge your cellphones, cameras etc The clientelle is mixed and nice. Beautifully decorated spacious lobby with lots of seats and a bar where you can see some people playing card games or at the bar. Great great value for the money. I stayed here for 5 nights. Become an e-dan member before you start staying there so you can get some benefits from it.Israel is an expensive place so this is slightly more expensive than the next level of hotels, but WHAT a difference! Compares to the Hilton in the US. Stay here!!!!!!
Great value for money, ideal location
We just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. Great location, walking distance to the old city, and city center. Very friendly staff. Great buffet breakfast and superb Friday night and Saturday lunch dinners. Nice rooms though a little on the small size. Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a good location and good value for money.
Very nice place!
My wife & I stayed here in November & we both loved the place. Friendly & helpful staff, great breakfast buffet and our room was modern & clean. The decor is great with a lot of modern art & framed "Holy Land" maps. The location is convenient for the new city. Would recommend to a friend.
Loved it
Just returned after 2 weeks in Israel, 1 week in Jerusalem. I have nothing bad to say about the Dan Panorama Jerusalem. This is our 2nd time staying there. I found the staff very friendly, the food great, the best breakfast, so much variety; location was in walking distance to every thing I would stay there again.
Upgrade for a top grade
A lovely hotel. Not the best pool but if you can afford to get a club-class room with access to the Carmel Lounge, you will trully have a wonderful time.
Wonderful stay
This hotel is in a very pleasant part of Jerusalem, within a short walking distance of Ben Yehuda shopping area. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The food was plentiful, a great variety and very delicious. A great place to stay.
