In the Netherlands, it seems to be every fruit's high point all at once. In Washington, in order to get fresh local fruit, you start with fresh Strawberries in early June, then Raspberries and blackberries, then cherries, then peaches in August, and so on so that you get them locally at their peak. That is not the case here. They have had local Dutch berries at their peak all summer as well as wonderful French peaches ...

While we have visited a few other such breweries in Europe this was definitely one of the better ...

Amsterdam trip, and while it was kind of a cool city to see with the canals and building styles, we both thought it was a little overhyped. We much preferred the Hague and Kinderdijk, but then again we were finding that we weren't big city people.

... are scoring something, but mostly it's ok to walk around, the alleys are small and narrow and every other shop is a café or a bar, lots of music but no prostitutes where we went.
We decide to go on the river canal cruise and it leaves at 8.30so we do that and I'm glad I did. The driver was a lady who knew how to get around the tiny canals very well. She was informative and told us about the house boats. Some are legal some are not, ...
