... again we walked the couple blocks to the stairway under the bridge to the platform. Nearby was the kiosk to purchase the tickets -- the purchase was fairly straightforward -- choose whether one-way or round trip, your destination, the class of ticket, and how many tickets, and then drop in many coins to pay (unless you have a chip and PIN creditor debit card which are virtually unavailable in the USA). The story is too long to blog, but suffice it to say that after a mad dash at SeaTac only to then wait an hour due to security concerns our great Delta flight landed at CDG 20 minutes early. We had a full day tour organised for the Delft and The Hague and we visited the very impressive Maritime ...

... the little white bear will be getting a good review! So with this in hand, we trudged out into the rain for our walk to the train station. So early the cafe wasn't open! We had two train changes ahead of us, one of which there was only 2 minutes to do the change. This seemed a little stressful...however we needn't have worried, because as we arrived to get on the second train it was 17 minutes late. This soon turned to 37 minutes! So we missed the 2 minute ...

... which we honored, but many people used their smart phones to take photos. Oh well, at least we were honest. Therefore, we have no photos of his works which is why I now wished we had gone to see the Van Gogh in the Rijksmuseum.

Two years ago after the experience of the boat ride in Paris I had vowed not to do another boat ride. So after we left the Van Gogh museum we ...
