    ... volumous... And she is blind. She loves Frida Kahlo and has Klimt on the walls and we talked for ages. Her daughter is in NZ so she has my email in case her daughter comes to Oz and wants to look me up. When I arrived at the Courthouse square about 10 or 12 musicians were jamming so I sat down to listen. One came over straight away and asked if I was a musician. Unfortunately no. When he found out I was from Australia I got introduced and one of them had lived in Cairns ...

    ... them, it looked magical. Everyone is very friendly, I have shaken hands with a Desert Storm veteran in his Bike Club regalia. Been wished 'a top of the morning to you'. Had street busking guitarists set up right near us as we had coffee to lighten our day. And last but not least meet Zarina in Juliette's Jewels who would like to come to Australia, so we are Facebook friends now so she knows where the good places are; e.g. Townsville North Queensland ...

    ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

    ... in 22 months. We did several field puzzle caches--caches which are themselves easy to find, but which then require some clever problem-solving to get into. Since you have to sign the log to claim the find, you have to solve the puzzle. I had heard of this type of cache, but had not encountered any before.

    After caching, we went back to David and Michele's house for pizza and Christmas movies. A pleasant day all around.

    ... gentleman who really knew his stuff. Lots of stories about the legendary people who are mostly enshrined in the Cowboy Hall of Fame, in the Stockyards. Toured horse barns, where we got to meet some of their favorite horses, and a special guest, a reindeer, who they have pretty much raised from a young age.
