We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

... I struck up a conversation with two cute girls. They were at the tail end of their own Aegean expedition. Mykonos (party island), Santorini (tourist island), and some other one I can't recall. Standard stuff, but then what do you expect from two Canadian college girls with interestingly painted toenails? My plan was to reach Athens, spend some time seeing the big stuff (Acropolis, etc) then retire to Piraeus (Athens' main port) and get a room; my ferry to Naxos was booked ...

... yourself for more, and as us English like to say ‘it never rains it pours’………So we were leaving Paleokastritsa after spending a few days there and crossing the island to meet back up with the Brabbly clan of whom we had been separated from. On the way out Simone caught a glimpse of a water fountain, seeing as we are travelling, you have to grasp these opportunities with both hands, cease the moment and drain it all for all its worth ...

... goes - we are going alone for the next 2 - 3 nights in secluded bays :) Needles to say Vassiliki was awesome, had some great windsurfing, met some awesome people with similar interests and would definitely recommend the "active" holiday concept. To sum it up, we are having a great time, I wish we had worked out how to send photos on this iPad, (Charlie- calling tech support) but can bore you all ...
