... chocolate-chocolate covered pretzels from my parents. Thanks mom and dad! (See? Again, I wanted to say mum and dad. I think I'm becoming an ex-pat. Oh, brother.)
The weather for the first two days was frigid. Down-right blustery. It's all anybody on the ship could talk about. Apparently we all were hoodwinked by the weathermen on that one. But finally today, the sun came out to visit and it was a pretty day. And tomorrow's high is expected to be 76 degrees in Athens ...
... It was nice to see Katy and Sarah they are both lovely girls and really fun. We got on the boat in the pouring rain it was more like a cargo ship than a cruise boat so when we got onto the place where we thought the seats would be imagine our suprise not airline seats at all but just seats like in the pub seats. This is where we would be spending the evening it was an overnight boat and should take 8 hours I was not impressed that I would be spending the evening ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybellePacked our stuff up so happy to leave this hole and went to pay and asked idiot Brian could we have a lift into Corfu town he said that there was no way that he could go until after 12 it was 9am but happily the owner of the hostel was popping in so he gave us a lift there. Oh thank god we got away from there it was making me miserable and ill, Ian found us a little hotel right on the front of Corfu town and its amazing really clean and the first thing ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelle... facilities and I went over to see how much it was 106 euros a night for a room which isnt too bad its a really cool place somewhere I would like to stay rather than here its cruel torture seeing all that luxery next door when I have toe nails and hairs in the shower ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Anyways last night so had a few beers with everyone and a Greek dinner of pasta shapes with cheese grated on top ha ha with that special Greek salad again.
... in it a terrace with dirty tables and stuff Ian picked this place because it included breakfast and dinner and he thought that after all this time together we might like to talk to some other travellers. The room Brian took us to had the same sheets on that someone the night before had used and as you cant flush toilet papers down the loo the bin also had lots of used toilet paper in it. The only redeeming feature ...
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelleJust a quick note. Spent a fabulous day on Corfu. This is what you think of when you think of Greece. We rented motor bikes and crusied the island. I will update more when we get back to Rome on Tuesday.
Love to all,
Davo and Janet
... how that many people got here, & where they stayed, etc, once they did. Press on to Igoumenitsa. Forecast not much better for next 3 days - and no boat to Italy that will allow us to stop off in Corfu. Ah well... starting to feel like things are coming to a slow end. We book for Bari for the following morning & do our best to amuse ourselves in uninteresting port!
Igoumenitsa, Epirus, Greece marcdolav... tons of activities and tours to choose from. My first day I rented an atv and explored the island, the next day I took a boat tour. Tomorrow I travel to Croatia via Bari, Italy... not exactly looking forward to lots of ferries but Croatia sounds great.

He took us to a really nice little place. They weren't ready for checkin yet, but allowed us to go to the beautiful little building in the back, and have breakfast. (What a treat~!)
We walked around the area some after eating, and then checked in. There was a laundry mat across from the hotel, so we put a few pieces of clothes in.
We stayed ...
... it. We watched as it filled the bucket from the sea and went off to deposit it on the flames. But the battle seemed ineffective, like throwing a cup of water on a house fire. By the time we arrived back at the villa and the sun was going down behind the hills, my tee shirt was white with ash.
That night I awoke in the pre-dawn, the only time when the thermometer dips below twenty five degrees, convinced that we were not alone. Looking round to my right I ...
