... then Nic's exhaust fell off 4 miles from home so she had to be rescued by her Dad!!!

Later we had a lovely drinks gathering with lots of old friends - the link being badminton which Nic and I played all through our years in Blyth. We had lots of laughs and it was a fantastic evening.

... I had a few pints which were only £2 each and Jenna and I got to meet some of the people who will be part of our family for the next 5 months. They were all lovely and made us feel welcome. Nikki dropped us back at Kay's where we hade toast for tea. Due to the houses being small they don't have pantry's like we do at home and the fridge and freezer are practically non-existent. ... issues we only found it once we stopped in a car park and I stuck my head out and asked a stranger passing by for directions. By the time we were told that the castle was walking distance (no sign) we would have had only had 20 minutes inside having paid the full entrance fee, so again, we took photos from outside!

Later we managed navigating some distance to the local inn for dinner and back... quite a relief ...
