Tirana is lively and it is colourful. Beeping horns and racing traffic give the city a tense feeling but this contrasts with the relaxing feeling from observing the colourful buildings. ... Tiran in, en het lijkt wel een nieuwbouwwijk, alleen dan zonder de nieuwbouwhuizen en weg. Alleen het grind, zand en stof zijn er. Nu wordt het pas echt een gekkenhuis...dit wordt alleen maar erger naarmate ik de stad inkom en het is opletten geblazen. Gelukkig ben ik ook groot en breed, dus ik val iig geval op, dat helpt, denk ik. Hoop ik. Ik zoek een mooi hotel waar ik de motor kan stallen, want anders vertrouw ik het voor geen meter. All a biit broken
... the Sky Bar at about midnight - this had a revolving floor, and looking down on Tirana it looked quite nice, and as Josefina said, 'it didnt look so broken'. Once all the work is done, I think it will be an impressive place as some big old buildings there.
Albanian countryside had big piles of rubbish and many places with old rusty cars, but the hills were good.
Quite liked our one night, but didnt feel any sadness about leaving the next ...
