Nagoya, Aichi, Japan yosokeiike... there are all trying to use English when teaching techniques to the kids, except they mispronounce the words often- it's the effort that counts though. Other exciting things include my mum coming to visit for a whole month starting this Saturday. Thing's I'm not looking forward to is working on Saturday morning for a school talent show and having to emcee. Oh well, you can't always get what you want I guess. Anyhow, time for bed. Oyasumi nasai :D Love Vicki
Nagoya, Chubu, Japan vicki85... at a popular park in Nagoya, eat lunch, go easter egg hunting (a bit late I know...) do some 'hanami'- cherry blossom looking. Here's an updated link of all the photos I've taken since arriving in Japan in August. http://picasaweb.google.com/vicki.wk.lo Enjoy! xoxo Vicki
Nagoya, Japan vicki85... No taiko or festive music from paraders, but I think we were making too much noise ourselves - and certainly too full of booze - to even notice anyhow. A bit of guitar and djambe adds to the fun, and with about 15 to 20 people turning up for our little space, we stayed busy enough. As always, it went too fast, but that's the spirit of the sakura in the first place: flowering suddenly and brilliantly, then quickly blown away by the wind, just like the life of a samurai.
Nagoya, Japan xerius... hard at all which is really kind of nice. Kids classes are currently my favourite. Kids are pretty reliable - as long as you let them do something fun they will listen and be good, and actually think you're cool. There are moments that I don't like - for example when a kid poops or toots and you have to deal with the odours, or - like a friend of ours - vomits all over because he's upset that you won't let him turn the light switch on-and-off a thousand times. I have one ...
Nagoya, of course!, Japan jo-jo
