      We went to Tokyo Station at a little past 8am. Considering that this is the 50th Anniversary of the shinkansen and the 100th Anniversary of Tokyo Station, there is virtually no official celebration. Owen decided to do his own thing. He had a JR person give us a small talk on the history of the station and a short tour of the place. We were given some information on the new shinkansens coming into service.
