... out jogging and cycling - they have a lovely prom next to river and the weather is so good - its something that is lacking at home big time, it would really motivate you to get up and out but what harm. So after a few days in Brisie we flew to Cairns. We were initially going to hire a car from there and drive up but its about 1700km and we would only be driving back down again from Cairns so made no sence.

Flying sure beats the heck out of walking or swimming, but we have had enough of planes for a while now! Santorini to Athens, to Milan, to Dubai, to Singapore, finally to Brisbane.....a day &amp; a half travelling is just about too much!!<br><br>Glad to be back......hard to imagine where we have just been! ... close taking photos was a joke, we got plenty of splashes but little else until the calf was hungry and started suckling - for this to happen; mum turns upside down and has her tail out of the water for up to 40 min's, long enough for us to get some nice snaps. We also saw a couple of dolphins but sadly they did not swim alongside the boat like they do on the telly! We also heard the whales singing - marginally better than Max on a good day - however ...

Vendredi 10 avril 2009 C'est la première fois que le Bus était en retard : 1 heure quand même ! Je suis arrivée à Brisbane à 14 heures puis j'ai pris un minibus pour l'hébergement Backpakers. Ici vraiment j'ai l'impression que tout est fait pour les Backpakers...c'est top ! Par contre le temps est vraiment pourri : il pleut et cela n'engage pas du tout à visiter la ville, qui est a première vue beaucoup moins sympa ...

... gegangen sind. Ich habe schon gehört, dass Sarah (mein BOSS! *lach*) noch ordentlich abgegangen sein soll. Für mich geht es aber heute nach Byron Bay, wo ich dann mein Wochenende verbringen werde. Ab morgen soll das Wetter ja auch schöner werden. At 5am we headed off on our 1100km trek towards "home". Hollie and Lauren were keen to break their record for distance travelled in one day (800km) and, without boring you with the details, we made it all the way! No sooner had we greeted Dad in the driveway when our dog "Poppy" appeared. Stuey had brought her down from Hervey Bay to save us the drama of having to drive up to get her. We were absolutely stoked to see Grandad, Stu and Poppy! The surprises ...
