    ... rode the funicular instead. From there we caught the train back to our little town, 6kms from where we started, and according to Marketa, we held the record for the season, return a full hour before the rest of her other groups did. Our reward was naps and showers before some of us tackled the next challenge; eating very large grilled pork knuckles.

    ... to be insulted we scheduled another trek, this time to the top of Kasprowy Wierch (1987m).

    Again, fog beckoned us towards the mountains. Rain a plenty. On the plus side, at least this time the fog began to slowly let up the higher we climbed. Overtime we were delighted with small snippets of the mountains around us. This proved to be the morale booster we required to encourage us to keep going.

    ... bus. This camp was built by the prisoners. The earlier buildings were constructed in brick and the later ones in wood as wood was cheaper and quicker to build. This camp was much bigger. They also built larger gas chambers and crematoriums here but these were destroyed by the Germans before they left.

    ... on a path made of big rocks. The view was amazing and the water was so clear and fresh. We even filled up our waterbottle on the hike up using run off from the mountains. Then we got the horse and carriage on the way back down the mountain. Then we got the bus to Zakopane and then to Kraków ...
