This was the administrative center of the small district around Shalanki, which lay 30 km to the east. Maramuresz to z kolei kraina drewna. Tutaj przeważają kościoły całe z drewna. Duzo jest tez rzeźbionych, drewnianych bram przed domami. I jeszcze zdobione na zewnątrz domy.

Po drodze w kierunku Polski (no raczej Węgier) zatrzymaliśmy się przy drewnianej cerkwi św.św. Archaniołów w Rozavlea (Biserica Sf. Arhangheli) ...
