We just got back from a wonderful 10 days in Punta Cana. We stayed at the Esmeralda Punta Cana resort. It was quite hot and humid for my liking, but we had a great time. It was our third visit there and we decided to do an ATV excursion, a parasail excursion off the beach which did not turn out well. And a free shopping excursion which was nice they had a hard rock café restaurant and we had a delicious hamburger the last night we were there. As far as the parasail ...

Saw a Dominican family playing in the surf - We both went topless sunbathing and a man walking with his wife tried not to look. I think we might have even been buzzed by a helicopter! - Took pictures in the surf - Tonight was a meal at the Seaside grill. ... to the airport and both of our flights were delayed for some time, but as luck would have it, our flights were out of the same gate so we got to sit and chat together for the rest of my time in DR.
All in all I had a very good time on this trip. I will probably not be going back to Santo Domingo again, but I would like to visit the northern part of the country (like Puerto Plata and Santiago)
Time to start planning my next adventure, to Europe!
