... takes us over the road to place to educate us in the Italian way of ordering a drink at dinner time and getting a feed off the bar from the beautiful finger food they have kindly put out for you while you eat. Calamari, olives, breads, pastas and much more. It is amazing that this array of food is put out for anyone who is drinking. While being polite with Jenn and Don as the dinner the girls have prepared is waiting for us, we head home to enjoy a night of good food and ...

      What A Night!

A travel blog entry by travellinghutch on Nov 05, 2014

      ... October
25th 2014 I went with two lovely ladies and one wonderful
man to a club. My very first club. And as I am Canadian I was getting
ready for bed before I had even left the house. The party was
beginning at 12:30 am and I think drinking beer and presseco was the

finally time to leave. It was a crazy night, full ...

in Italian and I respond with “I'm sorry, English.”, they give
you this eye rolling look and say “oooooooooooooh.....
(pause)...... English...” as if they just heard about their
neighbours dog being struck by a flying UFO. These reactions come
      from about 65% of ...

The Italian leg of my journey was a bit all over the place as I was in Milan 3 times, with Venice and Rome in-between. So for the purposes of this blog i've lumped all of Milan images and details together and will post separate entries for Venice and Rome.

So... Milan is a melting pot of culture, grunge, chaos, high fashion, trends and energy. It was an amazing contrast after Stockholm and ...

... visit Villa Carlotta in the afternoon - we had seen it from the water on the way to Bellagio - it had a lovely garden, but was not so stunning that we felt it was worth the stop. Instead we chose to catch the fast hydrofoil back to Como. This trip only took 1 hour and that way we could have a rest for an hour or two as our travelling had begun to catch up with us! We did have a gelati once back in Como - today's flavour was Crema - also ...
