Next on our list was the Temple of Heaven!

For any of yous that don’t know the Temple of Heaven is the largest existing sacrificial buildings in China and was built in 1420 for the Emperors to worship the heaven.

Our adopted Chinese tour guide, Becky, convinced us to go there instead of the Forbidden City. The day started out with a trip to Wu-Mart with a random Chinese man deciding that since we are western, we need to ...

Ryan asked me how my break at home was. I said that it was great. He told ...

... greatest wonders of the world, was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 8,851.8 kilometers (5,500 miles) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections are now in ruins or have disappeared. Construction Period: About ...

... down the street to find the Confucian temple and even participate in a little bunny craft we find on the street. It is a day of surprises, we keep walking down the hutong streets and find a trendy / traditional street of hutong shops with small restaurants and retailers. We end up near hoahi again and find a cab back to liudauko. What a great wrap up to the week, a big day of great finds ...
