After our 2 day sail we pull into Portamao and decide to drop anchor rather than go into the marina as it was a lovely big bay by the beach and a lovely afternoon. Just what we needed after 2 long days at sea. The sunset was beautiful and a cosy night in board before getting up at 3 to head onto Sines on the west coast of ...

Beach not so calm today... Wind from Spain apparently.... Said with derision and blame !!!! Like it's their fault!!!! Still blue ...

Then we went further and lots olive orchards, orange trees, and some animal farms. A very quick trip along the motorway .... Great roads and easy to get somewhere fast. Listening ...

On Sunday it is a beautiful, hot sunny day, so we spend much of it on the beach. I go for my run then we laze and read until almost lunch time. Before lunch, we attempt to walk to the harbour but as we are not allowed in (to look at which boat we like best and will later, of course, own…) it is short-lived and we head back. After lunch we are pleased to find that the sea has warmed up so we don swimwear and beach shoes and wade in. Jonny is very keen to 'cuddle' a fish ...
