... we enjoyed a remarkable sangria that had chocolate undertones, silky on the tongue and the best we've had so far. When we asked about the wine, we were told it was their house wine. ... to clean, change towels, and make beds. That is the height of luxury for me. The bathroom is also really nice with marble floors, a huge tub/shower and both toilet and bidet. Everything is very modern and high end. I'm glad we're here a month.

... gave it another day at Lagos, hoping that the wind would vanish again, but ended up deciding that two nights was more than enough and that we'd prefer to move on again. Further east, it's supposed to be much less windy and a lot more pleasant.

... we had conversed the night before and that was where his "intuition" came from! Today we are hitting the road, our gps friend Barb is gonna get back to work after her one day paid administrative leave of absence for poor performance. Now her mission is to get us from lagos to Bilbao Spain. We are hoping to check out the Guggenheim either tonight or tomorrow (but probably just from the outside), and then tomorrow we will be heading back into France to Bordeaux somewhere ...
