We decided to stay on the smaller of the islands and opted for D'Lagoon Resort on the north east corner – a lovely location but slightly disappointing accommodation. Basic is fine but a bit of care and attention wouldn’t go samiss here (broken loo seat and no handle on door for example) simple things really but annoying. We got here on …
The Perhentians are two small islands of the paradise variety off the east coast of Malaysia, and my plan was to spend four or five days there, relaxing and enjoying the sun, sea and so forth. My plan, however, was fatally flawed: undermined, as I realised on the night bus to Kuala Besut, by a need to sort out a visa for Thailand and get to Koh …
We went on a snorkelling trip today to five different locations on besar island. We saw loads and loads of clown fish and a really cool bright green anemone. Great place to spend a few days enjoying the perfect waters around D'Lagoon. Very quiet but easy to go back and forth between here and Long Beach should you wish. Loved it. Paid RM60 for a bungalow with fan and cold water. Happy customer!!
